I would like to know what is the end of life date for the HW QGSA-2120 ?
Didn't find on the web site.
Today Qualys published the Notice of End of Life (EOL) and End of Support (EOS) for Qualys NG Scanner Appliance:
Good luck... I have tried to track this information down for some time (we have gen 3 and 4 models) as I want to better track...We had all of our gen 2 stuff replaced like 4 years ago. Might want to talk to your account manager about getting that gear swapped out. If I remember right, gen 2 is 4gb ram (max) with core duo 2 processors... The newer stuff has much better procs and much more ram so I would imagine you would see much improvement in scan time if you upgraded.
Qualys Support is preparing a communication about end of life / end of support for older scanner appliances (with information about obtaining replacements), and will send it out to affected customers when ready. I've also asked them to post the information here when it's available.
You might also consider the Virtual Scanners. They can be deployed in the cloud as well. Your TAM will be able to provide details.
Just an FYI for any body that needs it to tell the model of your physical appliance. Navigate to appliance and for a physical choose information and review the model. see below as an example and then compare to the PDF that Mr. Dell'Immagine posted.
Thank you Robert! Been asking for multiple years for this!
Anyway you guys could enhance the "appliance" api call ( /api/2.0/fo/appliance/) to provide model and serial number info as well? Currently, it only provides id, uuid, name, networkid, software version, running slices, running scan count and status... Being able to pull all the scanner versions and serials via the api would make life much easier for those of us with numerous scanners.
I would submit a Feature Request on this; I don't recall submitting one on this but fully support it.
Good call. #695472 if you are interested.
sent to my tam.
I do have a lot of scripts pulling Appliance information. This would be helpful.
Although we are almost completely virtual and should be by EOY.
