Here is a request for a customer facing API:
Problem: I use the API. I use it for more than one type of application. It is possible that I may exceed my quota using unattended applications (not there yet, but you never know.) But there is no way for me to know if I am at (or close to) my quota. I can't put any error checking/error prevention logic in my apps to avoid tripping over that quota.
I can't tell if something fails if it is due to exceeding my API quota.
Proposed Solution #1: Give me an API that I can use to check the actual usage vs. the quota at any given point in time.
Proposed Solution #2: Modify the Session API call to allow a quota check:
/api/2.0/fo/session (or 3.0?)
