When setting up distribution lists on Qualys for scan notifications, does it allow just user email addresses or email distribution lists too?
The Qualys email interface doesn't care if the email@example.com is an individual or a group for the purpose of sending an email. Where you could run into problems is with download limits.
For example, say your windows technical remediation team is comprised of 30 technicians (5 that log into the UI and 25 that don't) that you can email using WindowsTRT@domain.net, but you limit the number of report downloads to 12. If, and I know its a big if, 15 members of the 30 want to download the report, 3 techs will be out of luck once the limit of 12 is reached.
Additionally, you will also want to consider members of WindowsTRT@domain.net and regulatory "need to know" requirements. Distros can be a double-edged sword. You don't want to overshare!

From Tell me about notifications:
You can have certain email notifications sent to a group of people by setting up distribution groups. Go to Users > Distribution Groups and tell us which users / email addresses make up a group. Your distribution group may include email addresses for users in the subscription and for users outside of the subscription.
Thanks Robert, what I meant was under the distribution group in Qualys, when inserting individual email addresses followed by the comma, does Qualys allow sending to a email distribution list outside the organisation for example so it won’t be firstname.lastname@example.org but email@example.com so essentially adding a distribution list email address in the email recipients section under the Qualys distribution group.
Are there any restrictions on Qualys sending out scan completion email notifications to individuals email addresses or an email distribution list ?
Thank you kindly Sir, much appreciated.
