Vault communication issue

Hi,

 

Our vault is on prem and scanner & target are in the cloud. Is there any requirement that needs to be in place for our vaulted credentials to work? While performing an auth scan, our scanner is not getting the auth information from the vault itself. Hence, my auth is failing. Any explanation or could someone explain the process around it? Would I need to do a trace?
