Oracle Authentication Scan

Hello All,

I am trying to perform an authentication scan on Oracle databases and the only way I see to create an authentication record is per instance because of the unique instance identifier names. For example, if I have 10 instances in a oracle server, I end up creating 10 authentication records, one for each instance.

I see that we can use same username/password across all the instances, but the identifier will be different and I cannot use multiple identifiers in one authentication record.

Can someone give me more information about this? Is this the only way to scan authenticated? How does it work if I want to use an authentication vault?

So finally, I am looking for a solution so I don't want to create 100's of records at the end of the day and maintain the ever growing list of instances, their names etc..
