If I have 2 Windows Authentication Records, when I am creating option profile, how to make a choice on these 2 authentication records? I don't see the option.
Please comment. Thanks
If your authentication records are for windows systems and they are also domain admin accounts then add them to your subscription as individual auth records and specify which domain each is for.
Then when the scannner appliance scans the windows target it will work out which domain the target is a member of and try that authentication record against it.
Otherwise you can use a local admin account and select the target IPs to use it against.
This all assumes you're using an option profile which has "Use Windows Authentication" ticked.
Hope this helps
If a customer has defined 2 windows auth records; 1 for a domain and 1 for local (where they have specified a range of IPs), if a windows system/host happens to be part of that domain but also has an IP address that is included in the local auth record, what takes precedence?
My understanding is the IPs defined are the first ones we look at, first match rules.
