I'm seeing systems protected by McAfee MOVE returning a scan result of qid:105294 "no antivirus detected on Windows host".
Has anyone else had this issue? Does Qualys not recognise McAfee MOVE?
Contact support. They should be able to give you an answer. If they don't support it, you could always put in a feature request.
I am seeing this exact issue at a customer site this week.
We can't think of a workaround other than looking for vsepflt.sys on the guest machines with a PC scan. Even then I'm not sure if this is sufficient to determine that the service is actually working.
Besides, I'm not going to recommend that they invest in PC licences to overcome a gap in the VM capabilities.
Is there a feature request in the system that I can add my "me too" to, Qualys?
