I was wondering if anyone had some insight as to why a Unix box would have QID 105015 Windows Authentication Failed error?
This is likely because the unix IP is a member of a windows authentication profile.
If the Unix IP is not a member of the IPs within a Windows profile, it is possible you may be running a window authentication scan option profile against a Unix host. It really depends on how you have configured both your authentication and your scan option profiles.
To check your authentication profiles, log into Qualys and go to Vulnerability Managment > Scans > Authentication and filter your search to Type: Windows. Look for an IP address/range that could contain your Unix IP. If you find it, you'll likely want to edit and remove the IP from the Windows profile and then add the Unix IP to the appropriate Unix profile.
To check you scan option profile, look at the scan results were you found your Windows Authentication Failed. Which scan option profile was used to perform the scan? If you page down to the last page, what do you see here:
