I remember being able to do both of the following but can no longer find the option in Qualys VM.

damian The functionality you describe does exist, in part, within the product, but not within the Scan function.
The functionality you describe in #1 Request a scheduled scan to run now, exists in Scheduled Reports, but not in Scheduled Scans. I have been using the product for 13+ years, and I don't recall that function as being available.
For #2, you are able to relaunch a previously run scan, but scheduling during the relaunch function is not available.
I recommend contacting your TAM to prepare and submit a feature request to add this functionality to the Scan interface. Please note feature requests require the following information, in the following format:
[-- Abstract (Intro, Customer Company Name, Customer Contact Name/Email/Phone, etc.)
[-- Area(s) of Functionality (Usability, Accuracy, Coverage, Management, Performance, API, Other)
[-- Use Case(s) (What are users needing to do, e.g. As a <type of user>, I want <some goal> so that <some reason>)
[-- Workarounds (What workarounds have been attempted and why have they not addressed the use case(s)?)
