Is there a way to produce a report or some sort that shows all assets and the asset owner for each?
There is an API call that will do it, but the results will come back in XML:
curl -u USERNAME:PASSWORD "https://qualysapi.qg2.apps.qualys.com/msp/asset_ip_list.php?detailed_results=1" -o results.txt
Asset owners are listed in the response, as long as you are requesting the detailed results.
Another option you *might* have is tag your assets based something about the host that can be mapped to a person. Maybe a string in the hostname, or a location. Or both together. When you build your reports, you can customize and marry those tags together in a report on a per owner basis.
If you are using a remediation policy, you might also consider using a "Tickets per User" report, which shows the number of tickets assigned to a user. That might help with getting a "workload" perspective on each user.
I tried There is no way to do it :-( Sorry .
Is there still no (proper) way to do this?
Bumping this, as there still does not appear to be a good way to do this. It seems simple enough, can you search assets by owner yet???
Assets > Host Assets > New > Export All
Does that help?
This isn't perfect, but it does get me what I need. Thanks!
You can either use an API call to list all assets which will include asset owners if defined in the Qualys VM/PC module, or you can use Shyam's method to download a list from the console. At this time there is not an asset search feature that allows you to query the VM/PC specific asset owner information.
