I have created a script to enable us to add new IPs into the Qualys Console.

However once the IPs are created I am unable to edit the hostnamedns and netbios via a script.

The curl call that I am executing is :

result="$(curl -u $qualys_user:$qualys_pass -k -H "X-Requested-With: Curl" -D result -d "action=edit&host_ips=$ips&host_netbios=TESTPC" "" | grep -i status)"

The error status that I am getting is :

  % Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current

                                 Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed

100   642    0   589  100    53    324     29  0:00:01  0:00:01 --:--:--   481

cat:   <RETURN status="FAILED" number="5012">Invalid host_dns and/or host_netbios name</RETURN>: No such file or directory

I am unable to find a solution to this one, it would be great is someone can help. !!

Another insight that I would need is :

While creating asset groups can i verify if an asset group is already created; in such a case I would just add the IP address to the asset group without creating a new one.
