Greetings! This is to announce that WAS Engine 7.8 has been released to all Qualys platforms including private cloud platforms. This release is part of our ongoing effort to continuously improve the WAS scanning engine.
This update includes the following changes.
- Addressed a scan error caused by slow DNS resolutions.
- Fixed an issue where a failed authentication in some cases resulted in the scan ending in error.
You might have noticed this release is lighter than normal. That is because a major update (8.0) is planned for next month. As always, if you encounter any problems in your WAS scans, please open a support ticket by selecting Help--Contact Support while logged into the platform.
