Customizing the "Core" Detection Scope

Some customers have asked how to customize the Core detection scope in WAS (e.g., remove certain QIDs or add others).  Currently the best way to accomplish this is to use "Custom Search Lists" detection scope as follows.


  1. Start with the attached text file that lists the WAS QIDs in the Core detection scope (271 QIDs as of 3-Apr-2020). 
  2. Add or remove QIDs from the list as desired. 
  3. Go to Configuration--Search Lists and create a static search list.  Click the "Add..." button, and paste in your customized QID list. 
  4. Save it and add the search list under the "Include" section of your option profile.
